Also, don't spend too much time on pronunciation, you can improve on that as you go on.Check out TalkToMeInKorean for beginner grammar and basic phrases.
They have free lessons that come with mp3 and pdf files for each one. I suggest going through maybe until Level 4.While going through TalkToMeInKorean, use Memrise for vocabs.Start hitting the books. I highly recommend KGIU - Beginner and 2000 Essential Korean Words for Beginners (both from Darakwon).And that should be enough to get you to at least TOPIK Level 2 without shelling out more than Php2,000. If you're lucky, sometimes there are decent books at Fully Booked/Power Books, usually the ones published by Tuttle. They cost more or less 1,000 Php.But if you really want a good book, your best bet is to buy online. Use a credit card (if you don't have one you can easily use a prepaid Paymaya card that you can 'load' from 7-11).Aside from that, for free resources., Korean from Zero has all of their content available on their website and you can even download the PDF of their first book for free.Lastly, you can take Korean classes relatively cheaply at the Korean Cultural Center at BGC (If you live around Manila, that is).
